Manchester Metropolitan University, United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and Communicability Global sought to develop a consortium of organisations to work together, to better understand and describe the nature and size of the challenges of supporting GBV-survivors with communication disabilities, in refugee contexts, in Rwanda.

Refugees with communication disabilities are particularly vulnerable to sexual and gender-based violence, in part because of their limited ability to report abuse. This article shares some evidence collected in Rwanda where this project was carried out.
